Better Hip Mobility. No Stretching.
If you struggle with tight hips and nagging aches & pains...
If you feel disconnected from your body (like you're constantly working ON it instead of living IN it)...
If you're frustrated with all of the conflicting advice out there...
Then you're going to love this.
Because you'll discover that no matter how stiff you are, you can unlock effortless mobility and pain-free movement by tweaking one simple habit.
This one change can help you:
- Move with ease,
- Regain freedom in your body, and
- Keep doing the things you love to do (from hiking and biking to martial arts and yoga)
And it works by tapping into one of the most basic rules of biology. I'll tell you more about that down below, but I have to be really clear with you...
If You Don't Figure This Out, It's Only Going To Get Worse.
I had a wake up call when I started as a coach.
One of my first clients was 91.
When we started working together, she could barely get up and down from a chair without assistance. Taking the stairs was out of the question.
All she wanted was to be able to go to the bathroom unassisted.
She wanted to maintain her dignity and felt like her body was robbing her of that right.
It hit me: if we don't learn how our bodies work, we're screwed.
Lucky for her, we worked hard on her mobility and strength, and she made amazing progress.
Now I know you aren't 91, but it goes to show that these things catch up with you if you aren't careful. But you can turn things around once you learn how your body works.
When most people try to deal with tension and pain, they try everything from yoga and corrective exercise, to soft tissue work and adjustments, to endless hours of stretching, foam rolling, "tissue smashing," and bands.
For most people those methods don't work as well as they want, and they end up right back where they started.
That's probably why you're reading this too.
And there's a reason why those things don't work in the long run.
Most approaches to mobility treat your body like a hunk of meat.
If something feels tight, the idea is to smash it with a foam roller (or lacrosse ball), or stretch it into the shape you want. That works fine for steaks, but not for bodies.
There are a few big reasons why that idea just doesn't work:
1. It Triggers Your Body's Natural Fight/Flight Response.
You've heard it all before.
"No Pain, No Gain" is a staple of the fitness industry, and it seems to creep into rehab and therapy a frightening amount too. But the thing is, your nervous system doesn't like that.
In fact, that feeling of tension is a natural protective mechanism.
By all means pull away, but know that when you do, you're basically playing tug-of-war with your body.
That's not a game you're gonna win.
2. It CREATEs "USELESS" RANGE OF MOTION.
Through hours of endless stretching you'll feel loose, but you'll have no control over that range of motion.
Flexibility without strength and stability just sets you up for joint injuries.
For flexibility to be truly useful you need to teach your body how to use it.
You need to develop strength throughout your full range of motion, or else you're using limp noodles to move, and you can guess where that'll lead.
3. It Doesn't LEAD TO LASTING PHYSICAL CHANGES.
Foam rolling and massages feel great, but have you ever noticed how the next day you're right back where you started?
Sure, it may feel good at the time, but if you aren't getting progressively better, there's a problem.
The reason these approaches miss the mark that they don't create any real, lasting change to your body.
It's a short term solution for a long term problem.
True mobility is a result of gradual adaptation of your connective tissue system. And that takes time. To put it in perspective, your muscles may adapt over the course of a few weeks, but your ligaments and tendons need months in order to change.
Here's The Big Problem:
At the end of the day most mobility approaches are surface-level, bandaid solutions.
They ignore the big, underlying problem: all of your tension, aches, and frustrations are a direct result of the negative effects of the modern world.
Chairs, chronic stress, little to no movement throughout the day--you've been separated from your natural habitat and behaviors. And your body is begging you for a change.
I learned it the hard way...
When I was in college, I got really interested in barefoot running and Brazilian jiu jitsu. I would run and train every day, but I really had no clue how to take care of my body.
I was basically just going through the motions.
I got stiffer and stiffer, and I ended up with a few repeat injuries.
It was bad enough that I ended up in the hospital a couple of times.
I turned to yoga to help me deal with my nagging tension, and although it helped a little bit, it never felt like enough.
I always ended up right back where I started.
So I read up on mobility and explored the world of corrective exercise. I had piles of bands, lacrosse balls, and other useless gadgets.
Not only was I making no progress; I felt a bit embarrassed to be going through these silly little exercises without any results to show for it.
I mean, at 21 you're supposed to be in the prime of your life, right?
And here I was stiff as a board, wasting my time on a wild goose chase.
To make matters worse I thought I was doing everything right.
I was getting to the gym. I was going to yoga.
I was doing everything I was "supposed to" be doing.
Talk about frustrating.
Then it hit me.
All Of The Exercise In The World Can't Make Up For A Lack Of Movement Throughout The Rest Of The Day.
I was wedging myself into cramped desks at college (and at a research lab after I graduated). I added it up and spent well over 50% of my waking hours in one curled up shape at the chair.
No wonder I constantly felt like my hips were tight!
So what did I do?
Well, it's a bit drastic...
I threw out all of the furniture in my house.
And pretty soon I felt more mobile than I ever had before in my life.
Without any extra time spent stretching, foam rolling, or any of that.
I felt vibrant and capable, with more energy and focus throughout the day.
I could finally move with ease.
I was amazed at how simple it was.
Now I know that getting rid of all your furniture is a big step...
Luckily it doesn't take a Tarzan lifestyle to regain your natural mobility.
As I said before it just takes tweaking that one simple habit: the amount of time you spend sitting in a chair.
Or put simply...
You need to reclaim the floor.
When you get down on the floor, you naturally move a bit more. Every time you change positions, it creates micro-movements in your joints. Those little shifts are like a multivitamin for your movement diet.
The best part is that it takes no equipment, and no extra time out of your day.
You can go ahead and do the things you'd normally do: check emails, watch Netflix, read a book. And all the while your body will be getting the benefits of those micro-movements.
I know it sounds simple...
And it is ; )
But I'm not the only one who benefitted from this little change.
When I shared this with my coaching clients, they saw huge improvements as well:
Now It's Your Turn.
Are you ready to banish stiff hips and back aches for good?
You can get started today.
I've created an ebook called Reclaim The Floor that's designed to walk you through how to safely transition to spending more time on the floor each day.
People around the world have been using it to find more freedom in their movement, plus the strength and mobility to get the most out of their favorite activities.
Reclaim The Floor is designed to help you:
- Find ease in the 5 fundamental resting positions (including the "primal" squat) so you can improve your mobility on autopilot.
- Understand the science of how your body really works so that you're empowered to take better care of it.
- Create healthy joints through specific mobility practices.
- Discover more ease in your movement throughout the day (and for the rest of your life).
And I've packaged it all in a simple-to-read PDF ebook.
I won't lie: it's pretty short. You'll be able to read it in an afternoon.
And that's a good thing. It means you can put this stuff into practice right away.
No complicated routines.
No confusion over what to do next.
You'll have a clear understanding of how to take care of your body's mobility issues for good.
All for just $9.99.
But This Will Help Even More...
I'm including a three-part bonus video training to help you take your mobility even further.
In the first bonus video I'll walk you through a bunch of modifications you can use to make floor sitting work better for your body. I'll share some simple props and adjustments to let you make the most of this practice no matter how stiff you feel at the start.
And the next two are even better.
They're hands-down the best part about this whole bundle.
These two videos teach you 2 powerful exercises that tap into your nervous system to help you literally re-program your body's flexibility and range of motion in a matter of minutes.
I'm not kidding: you'll never look at stretching the same way again.
There's just no comparison.
(Everyone I've ever worked with feels better the very first time they try it out. It's a game-changer.)
And you're 100% safe to try it out.
That's all I'm suggesting. Try these practices out for 30 days and see if they work for you.
You're going to love how your body feels. And you'll be surprised at how quickly you notice changes in your strength and range of motion.
And if you aren't totally satisfied, then just let me know.
I'll give you a full refund...in fact: I'll give you double your money back.
Because I know this stuff works if you practice it.
Out of the hundreds of people who have bought this guide, none have ever asked me for a refund.
This approach just works.
So for just $9.99 you'll get:
- The Reclaim The Floor ebook full of how-to exercises to help you feel better than ever
- A bonus video to walk you through modifications and adjustments
- Two additional bonus videos that will give you your nervous system's "mobility shortcut" for rapid progress
The newfound flexibility you'll get just from the exercises in the ebook is worth way more than $9.99.
But the lessons you'll learn in those bonus videos?
You just won't learn them anywhere else.
I teach those some things to my one-on-one coaching clients, and that starts at $250.
This is a steal.
