Meet Your Coach

Hey there, I'm Chandler Stevens, and I help people who are passionate about the body find confidence in their practice and clarity in their vision.  Through creative coaching in mobility and mindset, I'm here to help you reclaim your movement and reshape your life.  

I work with coaches and teachers, creatives and innovators from around the world.  We make magic at the intersection of movement, conversation, and awareness.

But it took me awhile to get here.  For years I struggled with repeat injuries and chronic tension.  I had difficulty making progress in my practice and felt overwhelmed by the complexity of the body in motion.  I was depressed that I couldn't dive into my favorite activities, and this stagnant feeling carried over into my work and my relationships as well.

Now I feel like I've gone through a seachange.  I've found more joy in my practice, and more meaning in my movement.  As I did, the effects began ripple out into other areas of my life.  My quality of movement improved.  My relationships grew more fulfilling.  I fell in love with my work again and started making a bigger impact with my students.  I was playing a very different game.

The big thing I realized is that your body is your most powerful resource.  

It's your first--and truest--home.  It's how you make your way through the world and connect to those around you.  And finding a deeper connection to your body opens the doors to a deeper knowledge of your self.  

Movement is the heart of how we do it.  It's the body's original language, and it has a way of cutting through the crap.  That's what led me here, and it's what I share every single day in my work.

The truth is: coaching doesn't lend itself well to cookie-cutter descriptions.  It's an ongoing relationship and a dynamic process, not a series of boxes to check.  When we work together, we'll create an experience entirely unique to you, but these are the common themes:

An Ecological Assessment

You don't live in a vacuum.  When we work together, we'll take a look at the big picture context that led you to this point.  We'll take a look at the "hardware and software" of the body through assessments in movement quality, joint health, body awareness, and more.  We'll also see how your habitat, relationships, and lifestyle influence who you are and how you move.  This is where we get clear on how you can start making serious forward momentum.

A movement practice To Unlock Your Body.

Your body is an ongoing process, and it's endlessly adaptive.  When we give it the right demands in the right doses, it's capable of extraordinary change.  With an emphasis on body awareness, expanding mobility, and natural movement you'll find new possibilities for fluid movement.  And as you reclaim your movement, you'll find that it changes how you make your way through the world.  As one student put it: "It feels like I finally grew a backbone, and I can literally stand my ground!
